Edmonton’s Meuwly’s launches Good Neighbour award initiative

The Edmonton-based food market offers weekly $100 gift cards to good neighbour nominees

Following the Alberta government’s recent offer of a $100 incentive to individuals who opt to receive their first or second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, Edmonton-based artisanal food market Meuwly’s has decided to launch a new incentive program of their own.

Meuwly’s is encouraging Edmontonians to nominate a person who puts community, friends, and family ahead of themselves and is always looking out for their neighbours, and after each week in September, one “Good Neighbour” will be awarded a $100 Meuwly’s gift card.

“In light of recent government announcements, we felt it was important to take a moment and recognize the people who have been doing the right thing ‘the whole time.’ You know, before it was worth $100,” Meuwlys explained on a recent Instagram post.

The celebrated food market houses a wide array of locally-sourced goods at both its online store and its various Edmonton locations, from do-it-yourself charcuterie kits, artisanal cheeses, and plant-based alternatives to baking essentials, grocery goods, ready-to-eat meals, and much more.

Nominations for Meuwly’s Good Neighbour award can be submitted online.
