After being forced to put her award-winning food tour company on hold due to COVID-19 restrictions back in March, Vancouver Foodie Tours founder Michelle Ng wasted no time launching her next endeavour, Granville Island Delivery Co.
Since then, Granville Island Delivery Co. has been delivering Granville Island goods throughout the region, and last week, the company president and founder officially announced the launch of its revamped website.
The Granville Island Delivery Co. team has also begun building curated to-go baskets featuring specialized goods from various merchants, as well as a monthly Market Box, which showcases items that reflect the best of the season, personally selected by Ng.
“We are excited to provide an additional revenue stream for Granville Island merchants that are struggling,” says Ng. “It’s more important than ever to support local artisans and their craftsmanship. With Granville Island Delivery Co., our aim is to spread joy with each package, while uplifting the Granville Island community.”
In addition to generating exposure and web traffic for Granville Island merchants who, due to the pandemic, have seen a significant drop in foot traffic and subsequent sales, Granville Island Delivery Co. has also launched the #GranvilleIslandLuv campaign, through which $5 from each curated basket or monthly Market Box sale will be donated directly to merchants who need it the most.
The website also features a new “Meet the Artisans” series, which offers a detailed behind-the-scenes look at the talented artisans of the Public Market and Granville Island.
The delivery service offers free shipping for orders $99 and over in Vancouver, or $10 discount on flat rate shipping in Greater Vancouver via local courier Novex. More information on delivery rates, products, and online orders can be found online.
