Milk Ice Cream opens in Calgary

A popular ice cream pop-up opens its first brick and mortar in Calgary

Following a soft opening last weekend that saw its entire stock quickly sell out, Calgary’s Milk Ice Cream is celebrating the official grand opening of its brick and mortar location today.

Despite having operated solely as a pop-up concept in family-owned diner John’s Breakfast and Lunch for the past two years, Milk Ice Cream has already developed a rather large following thanks to social media-savvy co-owners Tiffany and Anita’s creative ice cream creations. It has now found a permanent home in a shared space with the Alberta School of Music.

Often taking inspiration from both their childhood nostalgia and their Chinese and Vietnamese roots, the Milk Ice Cream shop features an intriguing selection of signature and seasonal flavours that range from Dunkaroos and breakfast cereal to White Rabbit candy, Vietnamese coffee, and Hong Kong milk tea.

Milk Ice Cream will be open today from 5 to 9:30 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 9:30 p.m.
