Miracle on 1st Street holiday pop-up returns to Calgary on November 18

The month-long holiday cocktail pop-up kicks off November 18

Although the relatively warm weather in Calgary currently suggests otherwise, the holiday season is right around the corner. And while we’re still waiting to see when winter will arrive in full force, one seasonal tradition Calgarians can always count on is the return of Miracle on 1st Street at Proof cocktail bar.

Since the international holiday-themed cocktail pop-up debuted in Western Canada in 2008, Proof has arguably been Calgary’s premier venue to celebrate the season, and this year looks to be no exception.

From November 18 to Christmas Eve, Proof will transform into a veritable winter wonderland with an aprés ski patio, over-the-top holiday decor and barware, and a wide selection of creative Christmas-themed cocktails like the Christmapolitan (vodka, elderflower, dry vermouth, spiced cranberry sauce, lime, rosemary, absinthe mist), the Bad Santa (aged Jamaican rum, velvet falernum, mixed spiced butter, oat milk, nutmeg), the Jingle Balls Nog (Cognac, cream sherry, almond milk, cream, egg, vanilla, nutmeg), and many more.

Similar to years past, Proof will also be providing a donation toward CUPS Calgary based on the amount of unique glassware that doesn’t go missing over the event. Last year, Proof was able to raise over $3,000 using the same format.

Calgary's Miracle on 1st Street will run from November 18 to December 24. Proof is open Thursdays through Mondays from 4 p.m. to late.
