It’s no secret that we are big fans of APTN’s Moosemeat & Marmalade, so it should come as no surprise that we were delighted to find out today that the award-winning docuseries will be making a return this fall for a sixth season.
Since they made their debut as a duo in 2015, Moosemeat & Marmalade co-hosts Art Napoleon and Dan Hayes have been entertaining and educating viewers through a series of almost-ethnographic adventures into many of Earth’s seldom-seen culinary communities.
For the sixth iteration of Moosemeat & Marmalade, the two charismatic co-hosts foray on yet another fun-filled season of inter-tribal food exploration and cultural discovery, only this time, the duo will traverse the backcountry of their own Western Canadian backyard, from seal hunting in B.C.’s Bella Coola to a wild buffalo hunt in the plains of Saskatchewan’s Treaty 6.
“We are thrilled to share new culinary adventures for our loyal fans and new audiences to enjoy,” says Napoleon. “Learning and exploring through food has always been the central marker of our show, and fans are invited to journey with us as we delve into important topics such as Indigenous food sovereignty, inter-tribal cooking and traditions, and sustainable food sourcing—all while having lots of laughs. Most importantly, we are here to entertain and inspire our viewers to embrace ethical food practices, and celebrate the many diverse food traditions all around us.”
The sixth season of Moosemeat & Marmalade premieres across Canada on APTN on September 6.
