Today, co-owner of Calgary’s Cluck N Cleaver and perennial cooking competition veteran Nicole Gomes announced that she will soon be taking on a new challenge when she steps into the culinary arena of Food Network star Bobby Flay on November 19. Since she began competing on the national stage, chef Gomes has asserted herself as one of the country’s top culinary competitors and food personalities.

The chef earned a Top 5 finish in her Top Chef Canada debut in 2013 (Season 3) and then returned to win the inaugural Top Chef Canada: All-Stars in 2017. Next, she secured second place finish in Food Network series Iron Chef Gauntlet (2018), and more recently, Gomes also became acquainted with the other side of the culinary competition world as a judge on Food Network Canada’s Fire Masters (2019-present).

Being a former Iron Chef America mainstay, Flay obviously has a very impressive track record of his own. Regardless, we think it’s safe to say that Bobby Flay will have his hands full when the two acclaimed chefs square off on Beat Bobby Flay on Food Network and Food Network Canada at 9 p.m. ET on November 19.
