One Day in Sudbury: country singer Andrew Hyatt

The singer-songwriter's favourite food and drink spots in Sudbury, ON

Andrew Hyatt has been making waves in the Canadian country music scene over the past few years thanks to his quality vocals and catchy tunes.

The Ontario-based singer recently dropped a brand new EP Four Good Years, which boasts eight tracks including the lead single "Close To You". The song is currently at 545,000 streams and counting on Spotify alone proving that country music fans in Canada can't get enough of Hyatt's music.

Recently, we chatted with the talented singer-songwriter about the eats and drinks he loves in his home base of Sudbury, ON. From tasty Caesars to the best chicken wings in town, here's what he had to say.

Breakfast

Eddie’s It’s simple but it’s done right. Bacon, eggs, sausage, hash browns. They don’t over complicate it and it’s consistently good. Toss in one of their Caesars and you’ve got yourself a Saturday morning hangover cure.

Lunch

The Laughing Buddha has the nicest patio in town. Tucked between two old brick buildings, with vibes to spare, you feel like you’re in your own little world.

I love the Gunga Galunga pizza and [sipping on] one of their many craft beers on tap.

Dinner

Respect is Burning is an Italian [restaurant] that has some of the best food in town. Immaculate vibes with a menu to match.

It’s also worth noting that you can go there for dinner and drinks and stay all night as one half of the building features their bar called Red Fang Tavern with live music on weekends.

My go-to place for drinks is Buzzy Browns. The staff treat you like family if you’re a regular and the drinks are always cold!

If you get hungry, it’s worth mentioning that they have the best wings in town.
