Toronto is starting 2019 in a more eco-friendly way. In February, it will welcome its first waste-free and eco-conscious market, Unboxed Market, by Dundas and Dovercourt.
The 1,500 square-foot grocer will offer its customers a variety of produce, meat and other package-free products. To take a break from shopping, visitors will be able to enjoy warming drinks, such as BYO-mug coffee, along with fresh-baked bread and treats and house-made meals, all served in biodegradable containers.
Unbox Market encourages its customers to bring their own containers, but it will also offer paper and glass containers and reusable packaging, as well as returnable glass bottles for some bathroom products.
Unboxed Market is located at 1263 Dundas St. West.
