Tractor Everyday Healthy Foods may be a familiar name in Vancouver, but now, the people of Toronto will have access to its healthy meals on the go too. Its new eastern operation, located in Toronto’s business district on Yonge Street, is the sixth location for the franchise and notably the first outside of Vancouver. It was a natural move for owners Meghan and Steve Clarke to open a branch in the city they both worked in before moving back home to Vancouver. Not to mention, the opening of their new Toronto location markedly celebrates Tractor’s fifth anniversary.
Tractor’s mission is to increase access to healthy food for those living a fast-paced lifestyle in the nation’s two largest cities. Everything they make is prepared on-site daily by chef Christian Ibacache and team. The menu features a la carte soups, salads, sandwiches, and custom bowls that patrons can personalize with a selection of hot and cold sides. Tractor’s heavy emphasis on vegetables coincides with the increasing interest in plant-based cuisine as customers elect to eat “meat on the side” more and more often.
An added bonus is that diners can even pre-order their lunches ahead of time, thus missing the lunch rush and allowing more time for other priorities. Stay tuned for Tractor’s Toronto launch coming soon on June 27.
