Partners Mark Bacci, Riyaz Somani and Suresh Singh opened a new Italian-concept restaurant, Frankie’s Italian in Toronto. The restaurant is located in the former Lil’ Baci space (at 892 Queen St. East) in Leslieville, and it is meant to continue Lil’ Baci tradition with some updated offerings, including all-day brunch menu and eat-in and take-out lunch and dinner options.
Open seven days a week, Frankie’s Italian offers not only true Italian handmade pastas, chef Brandyn Koester also brings some favourite dishes from the former Lil’ Baci to this new spot. The signature pizza made with long-fermented dough and sandwiches on baked-to-order fresh bread is just one of them.
"Frankie's Italian centres around value. We have always been committed to providing delicious Italian food at a fair price and this new space will be no different. This venture furthers our philosophy and we think fans of Lil' Baci and Annabelle will feel right at home at Frankie's," states a co-owner Mark Bacci.
What kind of Italian restaurant would it be without artisan coffee? Frankie’s Italian covers it all with its artisan coffee program by BOB Coffee and various pastries, which guests can also order to-go.
Frankie’s Italian definitely doesn’t disappoint those who are up to having some cocktails after work. The restaurant’s signature negroni bar offers various kinds of beverages, like rosehip and ginger, orange blossom and frizzante.
