After nearly eight years of providing patrons with vegetable-forward farm-to-table fare in an intimate setting, Harvest Plant and Provisions--formerly known as Harvest Community Foods--is getting ready to open the doors to a new, more spacious restaurant concept in Vancouver this April.
Located in the former Tuck Shoppe on Union Street, Harvest Noodles will offer full table service and a B.C.-centric beverage program, while showcasing an array of Harvest’s signature West Coast-style noodle bowls, such as ramen with squash and miso broth and udon with sake kasu chicken.
“We are thrilled to expand our operations with the opening of Harvest Noodles and the evolution of Harvest Plant and Provisions,” says chef Andrea Carlson. “Harvest is truly a community project, which came to life nearly eight years ago thanks to a public vote. Now, the community’s ongoing support has allowed us to grow our restaurant and grocery concept, so we can ensure each restaurant offers the best experience possible for our guests.”
Chef Carlson has also created a brand-new plant-based menu for the original Harvest location, comprised of fresh vegan and vegetarian dishes like shiitake bolognese with cauliflower and almond parmesan, carrot "lox" and dill crème fraîche on brioche, and turmeric coconut chickpea curry.
The Harvest Plant & Provisions space will also continue to operate as a central hub for Harvest’s Community-Supported Agriculture program, which provides consumers with seasonal local produce every two weeks.
