As a response to COVID-19-related restrictions in Alberta, where there shall be no packed dance floors for the foreseeable future, Calgary's premier LGBTQ2+ venue, Twisted Element, recently made the decision to transform into a sit-down restaurant. Currently only operating its top floor with seating for 70 and now known as Twisted Pride Pub, the Beltline watering hole offers an array of food and cocktails and is gearing up for an especially fun offering this weekend.
This Friday at 6 p.m., the pub will launch its weekly drag dinner series. Hosted by long-time resident queens Mr. Terri Stevens and Justine Tyme, the Classi-queen Dinner Show will feature performances by the cohosts as well as a special guest performer and a three-course dinner. Tickets for this (sure to be lively) drag dinner show will set you back $50 (plus tax and gratuity) and are currently available via Showpass.
Want an extra fill of fabulousness? The venue also hosts the city's only public Canada's Drag Race viewing party every Thursday night, as well as weekly drag brunches on Sundays.
Twisted Pride Pub is open from 2 p.m. to late Mondays to Fridays and from 11 a.m. to late on Saturdays and Sundays.
