Over the years, Saskatoon’s The Night Oven has established itself among Canada’s most acclaimed bakeries, offering a wide array of baked goods, from pastries and pizza to assorted pantry staples, sourdough bread made from stone-ground and milled flour, and more.
And while the aforementioned offerings alone are reason enough to make The Night Oven one of Saskatoon’s premiere foodie destinations, yesterday, founder Bryn Rawlyk--one of Canada’s top bakers--added yet another reason to the ever-growing list.
“We’ve made [macarons] before but it was only for Valentine’s Day,” says Rawlyk. “Over the last while, we have had many customers asking us to make them and I guess we finally caved. It will be a fun addition to our menu.”
The Night Oven’s new lineup of macarons are available in pumpkin spice, espresso, and chocolate. Boxes are can be purchased in-store or online in sets of five, in either one flavour or as an assortment. Rawlyk has hinted that there may be more flavours released in the coming months, but no official announcement has been made as of yet.
