Eat This Now: DL Chicken’s collaborative Crash box

A special sando meal box and streetwear collection from Vancouver’s Downlow Chicken and Crash

Although we usually employ a cautious approach to unconventionally-coloured foods, we will almost always try everything once. If the food in question also helps to support local artists, we will most certainly suggest that our fellow food- and arts-loving Canadians do the same.

With that in mind, we are formally issuing an “Eat This Now” on the upcoming comfort food-meets-streetwear merch collaboration between Vancouver’s Downlow Chicken Shack and clothing company Crash

The DL Chicken x Crash Collection features a meal box containing an OG Fried Chicken Snado with truffle spice dust, red onions, pickles, and a Crash blue-coloured truffle mayo sauce, along with crispy French fries and a custom Crash x DL key chain.

Throughout the limited-time run, DL Chicken will also be selling a selection of DL x Crash-branded merchandise, including a trucker hat, a hoodie, and three different t-shirt styles.

“Crash’s designs are one-of-a-kind and won’t be repeated again,” explains DL co-owner Doug Stephen. “Since Crash’s brand colour is also this one-of-a-kind cool blue, we definitely worked hard to give our sauces that special blue hue with all-natural ingredients.”

The DL x Crash Collection will become available on a first-come-first-serve basis at at both DL Chicken locations on September 2 while supplies last.
