After running the kitchen in one of Toronto's top boutique hotels for more than three years, The Drake Hotel's executive chef, Alexandra Feswick is taking her talents on the road as of December 1st, heading out to the hotel's Prince Edward Country property, Drake Devonshire. The beautiful countryside hotel has received plenty of attention since opening several years ago for its design, art collections and dynamic food and drink offerings. With Feswick now taking over the kitchen reins, it seems like things will only get tasier.

“I grew up in a small town, hungry for opportunities to join the culinary world to grow and learn. I am so excited to not only make Prince Edward County my home with my family, but also to bring more opportunities to aspiring chefs in the area,” says Feswick. “I started my career working right on the farms that produced the ingredients I was cooking with, and I can’t wait to work closely with farmers and the community to create beautiful food together that we can share with guests and locals alike at the Devonshire.”

In addition to being recognized as a passionate and talented leader by her peers and team at The Drake, Feswick is known in Toronto as a very community-oriented chef with a penchant for fostering the growth of young female kitchen talent. Here's to hoping that her replacement at the hotel's flagship property on Queen Street West follows in her inspiring footsteps.
