Chefs vs. Wild pop-up dinner happening in Vancouver on November 20

Chefs Jade Berg and Tushar Tondvalkar team up at Nox Restaurant for a foraged feast

Although it feels like the official date for the Canadian premiere of Hulu’s Chefs vs. Wild series has changed more than a few times, we now know with relative certainty that Canadians will be able to watch the first two episodes of the series on Disney Plus on November 23.

But while the rest of us wait until next Wednesday for our first look at the series, Vancouver residents will have the opportunity to take part in a sneak preview of sorts when two chefs from the show, Jade Berg (Wild Isle Cooking) and Tushar Tondvalkar (The Indian Pantry) , team up for a Chefs vs. Wild-themed pop-up on November 20.

The two chefs will be serving a six-course menu showcasing dishes inspired by what they cooked while on the show, with the majority of ingredients coming by way of a foraging trip to Quadra Island. The entire menu looks interesting, but some of the courses to look forward to include chef Berg’s sablefish with miso, wild ginger, and nodding onion, as well as chef Tushar’s aged duck with bladder seaweed broth, dumplings, and burned shallots.

The Chefs vs. Wild pop-up is happening at Nox Restaurant on November 20 with seatings at 5 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. The team at Nox will also be offering custom cocktail and wine pairing selections that can be purchased on the evening of the event. Tickets can now be purchased online for $128 per person.
