White Spot announces fundraiser to support B.C. wildfire relief

Six dollars from all burgers sold on July 29 will be donated to the Canadian Red Cross

This week, B.C.-based restaurant chain White Spot announced that it will be teaming up with the B.C. and Canadian governments on July 29 to raise funds for the Canadian Red Cross 2021 BC Fires Appeal.

For every burger sold for dine-in and takeout at all 96 White Spot and Triple O’s restaurants throughout the province and the 11 BC Ferries that offer White Spot, a total of $6 will be donated directly to the Canadian Red Cross.

“The B.C. Wildfires are having a devastating impact on our province including many of the communities in which we call home,” said White Spot Restaurants president Warren Erhart. “We are a community-first organization and are proud to have received immediate agreement from our family of franchisees and partners to provide support. We hope these much-needed funds will provide some relief to those who need it most during this extremely challenging time.”

Similarly to its 2017 fundraising initiative (which raised $60,000 to support wildfire relief efforts), this year’s fundraiser will be used for immediate and ongoing relief efforts, long-term recovery, resiliency, and preparedness for future events in British Columbia and impacted regions, including consequential events related to the fires.
