After undergoing extensive renovations and restorations, the Fairmont Hotel Macdonald's famed Confederation Lounge will officially reopen on Friday, Feb. 10, 2023.
Seeing as the hotel property is 108 years old, the Fairmont Hotel Macdonald team says it has worked closely with designers to preserve the historical aspects of the lounge while helping usher it into an atmosphere that is more contemporary overall.
“[Our hotel] has been dedicated to connecting our local community and hotel guests to extraordinary settings in the heart of Edmonton for over a hundred years. The renovated Confederation Lounge will continue to celebrate our history while embracing its new era of dining,” said Fairmont Hotel Macdonald's general manager Garrett Turta in today's announcement.
With its still-to-be-seen space while be unveiled to media on Thursday night and comes an updated menu by chefs Jiju Paul and Brett Van Allen. Its lunch, dinner and cocktail menus now available online and include creations like the lobster and crab roll, scotch egg with squash, and the Wedgewood cocktail (Hendrick’s Gin, Giffard creme de cacao, pistachio, lemon, white chocolate, and rose).
Confederation Lounge at the Fairmont Hotel Macdonald officially reopens Friday, February 10, 2023 and will be open daily from 11 a.m. to midnight. Reservations are available Sundays to Thursdays can now be made online.
