Since launching in May, Kiefer Sutherland's Red Bank Whisky has garnered much buzz, largely for being one of the only celebrity-owned whisky brands in Canada save the Wayne Gretzky Red Cask Whisky.

“Red Bank isn’t just a whisky,” said Sutherland in the product's initial announcement. “It is a testament to the passion and artistry of Canadian craftsmanship, and a reflection of the warm east coast hospitality that you can always bank on.”

Sutherland co-owns Red Bank Whisky with Gary Briggs, Shawn Hiscott and Rob Steele, and the distilling and aging of the producer is overseen by master blender Michel Marcil. The name draws inspiraiton from the Nova Scotian coast, but the whisky is distilled in Ontario.

Red Bank Whisky debuted in the Maritimes on May 18, 2022, but as of this week is now available in Alberta liquor stores. Distribution in BC, Saskatchewan and Manitoba is expected to follow by the end of the summer.
