Originally from Grande Prairie, radio host Sasha Spencer has worked her way up in the FM world doing stints in Edson and co-hosting a morning show in Saskatoon, before moving to Lethbridge, where she spent two years soaking up all that the quaint Albertan city had to offer while working as the afternoon drive announcer on 107.7 The River. These days, you can catch her chatting and spinning tunes during day on KiSS 95.9 in Calgary, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Since most of us don't know about all of the little gems in Lethbridge, we asked Spencer to fill us in.

Mocha Cabana: Cute little restaurant with a big focus on the city. Whether it's using local ingredients, or promoting entertainers and events in Lethbridge, Mocha Cabana really cares about the community that it serves. And really, who could ever say no to cinnamon bun French toast for breakfast? So good!
Diaz Restaurant: This place is a bit of a diamond in the rough and so worth stopping in. The menu is a fusion of Canadian and Cuban cuisine, which brings out some great flavours. I love the tostones--deep-fried plantain slices. It's a refreshing twist on chips and dip.
Miro Bistro: For one thing, I love the decor, right down to the wine corks used to frame certain parts of the restaurant. The staff is very attentive and really good about accommodating customers with allergies and dietary restrictions. The meals are also presented beautifully!
Cotton Blossom Lounge: I find it easy to forget about bars and lounges in hotels when you live in the actual city, but I'm so glad I found this place in the Lethbridge Lodge. Whether you're visiting Lethbridge or you already live there, Cotton Blossom Lounge is a must! It offers a wide variety of beers, delicious Caesars and some of the best margaritas that I've ever had. Depending on the day, you can get these drinks at an amazing price.
