With a multifaceted musical career that has accumulated a seemingly endless array of awards and critical acclaim since he debuted with The Strumbellas in 2008, Ontario-based musician Simon Ward has undoubtedly become one of Canada’s most prolific and versatile artists.

His latest project, Simon and the Island, showcases the singer’s passion for producing powerfully authentic music along with vulnerable and relatable songwriting that inspires listeners to believe in hope despite dark circumstances.

With Ward's full solo album set to release in the very near future, we decided to catch up with the multi-talented musician, who filled us in on some of his favourite food and drink spots in Lindsay, Ontario.

Jane’s Country Kitchen is a classic restaurant spot that is always so nice to us even though we bring so many kids in there with us.

Fresh Fuell has the best wraps in town! Healthy and delicious! And the owners are a 10/10.

Dinner

Teriyaki Town. My wife and I used to live at Bloor and Spadina in Toronto, so we have tried lots of great sushi, and let me tell you this place competes! Delicious sushi and the owner is simply fantastic.

Drinks

Boiling Over's Coffee Vault. It was so great to see a sit down coffee shop open up in our downtown. Good vibes all around!
