10 New songs by Canadian artists to add to your kitchen playlist

We've added these new tunes to our cooking playlist and you should too

Like we mentioned last Friday, we have been spending way more time in our kitchen and we're willing to wager that you are too. Time spent in the kitchen is best accompanied by good tunes and that's why we're sharing (mostly) new songs from Canadian musicians that you can add to your playlists at home. If making a playlist isn't your forte, check out Eat North's Cooking Playlist on Spotify. We are updating it every week with the ten new tracks we round up in this feature.

Happy cooking (and listening)!

Brooklyn Doran - Tomorrow Never Comes

There is something so enticing about Doran's wistful vocals on this new single of hers. It leaves you wanting more new music from the indie artist.

Corb Lund - 90 Seconds of Your Time

Corb Lund has got outlaw swagger like no one else in this country and we are loving the two new songs he released earlier this month. "90 Seconds of Your Time" is rock-leaning song that we can't stop spinning.

Don Amero - Morning Coffee

We love good analogies in a country song and a catchy chorus that we can sing along to, and that is exactly what Amero is delivering with his latest single "Morning Coffee".

Jully Black - Mi No Fraid

Arguably the most recognizable face in Canada's R&B scene, singer and TV personality Jully Black hasn't put out new music for a few years, so it's nice to hear her back with "Mi No Fraid".

Rufus Wainwright - Damsel in Distress

Is there anything more identifiable than the vibrato of Wainwright's voice? We don't think so. "Damsel in Distress" is just one of four new tracks the singer has released in recent weeks with a full album on the way.

Sons of Daughters - I Picture You

This new single from country-pop duo Sons of Daughters would be perfect for a road trip playlist, but we're just as content singing along while we're cooking in our kitchen--the epitomy of catchy.

Tenille Arts - Another Life

Saskatchewan-born Tenille Arts has been making waves in Nashville lately with the beautifully assembled album Love, Heartbreak & Everything in Between. Her soothing vocals make this album an easy listen from start to finish, and "Another Life" is a piano-driven song that will especially grab your attention during the bridge.

The Glorious Sons - Don't Live Fast

This slow, thoughtful song from rockers The Glorious Sons has plenty of emotions and it feels timely given the current climate of social distancing. We are all taking this time to slow down a bit, right?

The Weeknd - Save Your Tears

The Weeknd always delivers when he drops a new album and After Hours upholds that theory. "Blinding Lights" gets most of the attention on this album with its 80s dance vibes, but we're also partial to the synth-y (almost) love song "Save Your Years".

White Panda and Jocelyn Alice - Somebody Loves You

This fun, feel-good dance track features vocals by incomparable Calgary native Jocelyn Alice... because who isn't having virtual dance parties in their kitchens these days?
