If you've been watching the current season of The Great Canadian Baking Show and thinking that you've got the baking chops it would take to compete, you'll be happy to know that CBC and Proper Television have just announced auditions for the show's fifth season.

Likely taped in late summer of this year and aired in early 2022, interested home bakers across Canada can apply online now for the chance to be one of the 10 competitors in the famed GBCS tent. The audition process begins with a robust online application where bakers answer a wide range of questions as well as upload images of their home baking as well as a short video introducing themselves.

Unlike seasons 1-3, the current season of The Great Canadian Baking Show was cast completely virtually with baking tests and other screenings done via Zoom. It's likely to expect the same casting process for season 5.

Deadline to fill out the online application form is April 5, 2021.
