After a stellar year in 2022 that included a Michelin Star mention and spots on both Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants and Canada’s 50 Best Bars lists, Vancouver’s L’Abattoir recently announced some exciting plans for the holiday season.
L’Abattoir kicked off its holiday celebrations last week with a series of creative holiday cocktails that range from new creations like the Chai Hard mezcal (chartreuse, oat milk, chai hot chocolate) to old favourites like the Toddy Tim hot toddy and the house-made Nog Actually eggnog.
The restaurant also recently launched a luxurious new 10-course Chef’s Menu which, in addition to being a delicious dining experience, also helps raise funds for the BC Hospitality Foundation.
Finally, on New Year’s Eve L’Abattoir will be pulling out all the stops with a decadent multi-course menu featuring Krug Champagne pairings. Along with a selection of hard-to-find cuvées, the New Year’s Eve menu includes dishes like baked Pacific oyster with black truffle and whipped garlic butter; lightly smoked wild sockeye salmon with Oscietra caviar, cedar, and creme fraiche; and wagyu beef fillet with oxtail dumplings, bacon, and shallot juice.
L’Abattoir’s full lineup of holiday offerings can be found online, while reservations and New Year’s Eve tickets can be purchased via OpenTable.
