Ellen Doty, one of Alberta's most notable and soulful singer-songwriters, is back with her eighth annual holiday giveback campaign...and this year, it’s even sweeter!
Teaming up with Monogram Coffee and Made by Marcus Ice Cream, Doty is spreading some serious holiday cheer. Throughout the holiday season, $5 from every bag of “The Gift” coffee sold will go straight to the YWCA in Edmonton and Calgary. The coffee roast gets its name from Doty's brand-new holiday single “The Gift”, which features Calgary’s Amelie Patterson.
“This campaign means the world to us! It’s all about bringing local musicians and businesses together to help those who really need it this holiday season,” explains Ellen Doty, who has previously collaborated with notable Alberta-based singers such as Wyatt C. Louis and Kate Stevens to create her original holiday music tied to the charitable initiative.
This campaign just keeps getting bigger with each passing year, and Doty and Monogram are excited for Albertans to get to try this year's roast. It’s the perfect way to cozy up this holiday season—warm, rich, and undoubtedly full of festive feel-good vibes.
“Monogram’s purpose is to serve people through coffee, and this campaign is the perfect way to do that. It brings our community together for a great cause, through the good times and the tough ones,” says Monogram co-owner Jeremy Ho.
You can get your hands on the coffee online or at all Monogram cafe locations—as well as Edmonton's Brown Butter Cafe—until Dec. 31, 2024.
And let's not forget about the limited-edition Made by Marcus ice cream flavour inspired by “The Gift", Roasted Chestnut and Hazelnut Latte. Yum!
The annual limited-edition creation is collaboration with Doty is back for its sixth year in a row and sees $2 from every pint sold donated back to the YWCA in Calgary and Edmonton. It’s available at all Made By Marcus shops, but you can also have it delivered straight to your door by ordering online.
While it's natural to indulge more than normal during the holiday season, it feels good knowing that eating a little more ice cream while you're cozied up at home is helping out a great cause.
