After a few months of renovations and allowing the restaurateurs and their team some time to settle into the food and beverage operational side of things, Hearth Restaurant is now officially open in its new home inside the Remai Modern.

Open Wednesdays to Sundays from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saskatoonians can once again enjoy chefs Thayne Robstad and Beth Rogers' delicious contemporary Prairie fare. While the food and drink offerings largely remain the same, the restaurant's new location in downtown Saskatoon offers a slightly more modern design and a huge amount of natural light thanks to riverfront-facing windows.

“We already feel like the Hearth team is part of the Remai Modern family thanks to the excellent catering they’ve provided to the museum since October. The opening of their beautiful new restaurant space on our ground floor will add so much to the museum experience,” says Remai Modern co-executive director and co-CEO Aileen Burns.

The restaurant now offers weekday lunch service (Wednesdays to Fridays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. ), a kids menu and weekend brunch service from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Its dinner menu—sectioned into small, medium, and large-sized dishes—is offered Wednesdays to Sundays and has many returning signatures like the mushrooms and mornay, chicken liver mousse with onion rings (very tasty), smoked pike with confit potatoes and garlic, squash schnitzel and much more.

The drink menu remains as dynamic as ever as well, thanks to co-owner Tina Thorsteinson, and includes interesting concoctions like Morel High Ground (rye whisky, morel and birch syrup, old-fashioned bitters, islay scotch) and the Shades of Cool (Black Fox cucumber gin, sparkling white wine, fino sherry, elderflower liqueur, lemon, peach).

Hearth Restaurant is located at 102 Spadina Crescent E inside the Remai Modern.
