If you know us, you'll know that we love a thoughtful collaboration and a recent announcement from the folks behind Saskatoon's Primal and Hearth is offering up just that.
The inaugural Kindred Plates event is set to take place on Oct. 12 and 13 at the Remai Modern and will see culinary talent from across Saskatchewan creating a contemporary Prairie food-and-drink experience for attendees. Chef-restaurateurs Michael Brownlee (Mabel Hill Farm and Kitchen) and Rusty Thienes of Harvest Eatery will join forces with organizers Christie Peters, Kyle Michael (Primal, POP Wine Bar), Thayne Robstad, and Beth Rogers (Hearth) to create canapes and a four-course menu that is sure to impress.
"[This is a collaborative dinner series with invited Canadian chefs that celebrates food, creativity, and the passion that comes from a life spent on the line," explains Thayne Robstad and Beth Rogers in a post on Hearth's Instagram feed.
Tickets for this two-night dinner event cost $180 (plus taxes and fees) and include welcome bubbles, canapés and a four-course dinner with beverage pairings. Following each dinner event, POP Wine Bar will host a lively after party where industry and guests can mingle and cheers the night away.
"Every time I collaborate with other chefs, I learn something new and feel so inspired," says Christie Peters. "I can't wait to see what we create together and I know dinner guests are going to love it too!"
