Easy-to-make recipes that feel as bright as springtime sunshine

As we begin to (happily!) welcome warmer weather across the country, we also notice our taste buds craving brighter and fresher flavours.

Sourcing local should always be front of mind for home cooks, but let's be honest: Spring is hard.

There may not be much (read anything) breaking through the top soil in most parts of Canada as of yet, which is why we appreciate any remaining cellared produce we can find, along with the many greenhouses growing things like cucumbers, tomatoes and herbs year-round. On top of that, it's always worth mentioning that most grocers have frozen fruits and vegetables in their freezer sections too.

Does a strawberry pie baked out of season with frozen Canadian strawberries taste just as sweet? We'd say so!
