Saskatoon’s Bessborough Gardens launches food truck market pop-up

The iconic Gardens’ space will be home to Foodtruck Wars food vendors every Friday and Saturday from now until the end of August

The Bessborough is turning its back garden space in a pop-up food market starting this weekend!

Under normal circumstances, Saskatoon’s iconic Bessborough Gardens would have just entered peak festival and wedding season, but due to the multitude of cancellations as a result of COVID-19, many Saskatchewanites haven’t yet had the chance to enjoy the majestic scenery the incredible outdoor space has to offer.

This week, however, the Delta Bessborough and Foodtruck Wars announced an exciting new partnership that will see the Gardens open up to the public for two months of food, festivities, and fun.

A number of Foodtruck Wars food vendors will be on site to serve up their best culinary offerings every Friday and Saturday, from now until the end of August.

In addition to social distancing practices and sanitation protocols, the size of the sprawling venue will allow visitors a chance to safely socialize, while also enjoying and supporting local purveyors like Homestead Ice Cream, Prairie Poppins, Boom Box Chicken, and more.

The Bessborough will also have their patio restaurant open, along with a sectioned-off beer gardens area. The public will have access to the hotel washrooms, and some table seating will be available, but visitors are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chairs.

The patio restaurant, beer gardens, and food trucks will run from noon until 8:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
