If the warmer weather (compared to the rest of Canada), picturesque scenery, and vast abundance of world class wineries weren't enough to merit an impromptu trip to the Okanagan this January, the BC Restaurant and Foodservice Association, Tourism Kelowna, and the Wines of British Columbia have once again teamed up to offer a series of incredible dining experiences to help food and drink-lovers discover (or rediscover) the majestic region.
The Dine Around Thompson Okanagan event kicks off today, during which more than 60 restaurants, bars, and wineries from the Okanagan, Kamloops, and Prince George will begin offering three-course prix fixe menus that range from $15 to $55 per person.
From seriously elevated pub fare perfect for large gatherings from the likes of Central and Train Station to more intimate upscale offerings from Waterfront Restaurant and Block One, the sheer amount of dining options available this year are as diverse as they are delicious.
As a bonus, this year diners will each receive a “passport” that can be validated at any participating restaurant. Once a passport has accumulated two or more validations, it will be entered to win $350 that can be spent at any Dine Around location in the Okanagan (passports from Kamloops and Prince George will be entered to win $200).
Hotel Eldorado and Delta Hotels by Marriott Grand Okanagan Resort are also taking part in this year's Dine Around, offering unique packages that include accomodation and prix fixe menus at their respective restaurants.
Dine Around Thompson Okanagan runs from January 15 to February 2. Find the full list of participating restaurants here.
